I've just been to the SPCA with Jing Ying and Sofia yesterday. It was a rather disappointingly SMALL and SQUISHED building and, as Sofia's dad said, the building only had a pathetically tiny sign to illustrate it.
The animals were OK, I suppose. I wasn't too keen on the dogs. One particular furry puppy escaped when SOMEone opened the cage door, and the other dogs just about went bananas. Some of them were practically banging their heads on the side of their cages in excitement..until the SPCA people came got the little puppy rounded up again. The cats were nice. A big, lion-faced cat reminded me of Garfield. Sofia said she MIGHT adopt it. Poor me, unable to raise as much as fish and turtles due to the lack of time, space and permission. Ah well, for the richies out there, you may want to consider adopting an animal or something for company. That way, when a teacher demands why your holiday homework was undone, you can tell him that your dog ate it or something.
